Video: Petrol Pump Employee Shot After Denying Fuel To Helmetless Bikers

A petrol pump worker in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district was shot at after he refused to provide fuel to two men who were not wearing helmets, as per an order issued by the local administration.

The incident took place around 5 am at Savitri Lodhi Petrol Pump on the Bhind-Gwalior National Highway (NH-719). The employee, 55-year-old Tej Narayan Narwaria, told the bikers he could not serve them because the district collector had ordered petrol pumps to deny fuel to riders without helmets.

Argument Turns Violent

According to police, the men began hurling abuses before opening fire. CCTV footage shows one of them firing with a pistol while the other used a rifle, forcing staff to run for cover. Multiple rounds were fired before the attackers fled the scene.

Mr. Narwaria sustained a bullet wound in his hand and was first taken to Bhind district hospital, then shifted to a hospital in Gwalior. Doctors have said his condition is stable.

Attackers Identified

Investigators said the accused are residents of Bijpuri village under Bhind’s rural police limits. They were reportedly returning from a wrestling event when they stopped at the pump.

Barohi police station in-charge Atul Bhadoria confirmed that the men have been identified through CCTV footage. “A manhunt is on and they will be arrested soon,” he said.
