Tej Pratap Yadav Alleges Assault on Staff, Journalist During ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’

Expelled RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav has alleged that a driver and a journalist were assaulted during Congress’ ongoing ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar’s Aurangabad district.

The 16-day march, led by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, began in Sasaram to protest the Election Commission’s voter list revision and alleged irregularities in the electoral process.

On Monday, Tej Pratap shared a video claiming that MLA Vijay Kumar Singh’s driver and a journalist were attacked in Nabinagar. In his post on X, he questioned the purpose of the yatra and accused both leaders of allowing violence during the campaign.

“I strongly condemn this. I want to tell Tejashwi that there is still time—be cautious of the people around you, otherwise the results will be very bad,” he wrote, warning of political fallout.

The yatra’s second day included Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the Dev Surya Temple in Aurangabad, followed by a rally in Gaya. The march will travel over 1,300 km across more than 20 districts before concluding in Patna on September 1.

Meanwhile, Tej Pratap continues to hold independent rallies across Bihar, with his latest public meeting taking place in Mahua.
