Samsung Galaxy S25 FE 5G Leak Reveals Slimmer Design, Smaller Battery

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 FE 5G is set to launch in the coming weeks, but recent leaks suggest that the device may fall short in one crucial area — battery life.

Battery Downgrade Could Be a Concern

According to a new leak on Weibo, the Galaxy S25 FE will feature a 4500mAh battery, a step down from the 4700mAh unit in last year’s Galaxy S24 FE. While the difference of 200mAh may seem small, it could impact daily usage for power users. The reduction appears to be a trade-off for a slimmer profile — the S25 FE is expected to measure 7.4mm in thickness, compared to the 8mm on its predecessor, and weigh just 190 grams (down from 213 grams).

Familiar Design, Lighter Frame

A leaked image of a dummy unit gives an early look at the phone’s design. The S25 FE seems to maintain the aesthetic of its predecessor with a glass back, aluminum frame, and triple rear camera setup. The leaked model appears in black, though Samsung is likely to introduce additional color variants at launch.

Expected Specifications

Based on current leaks and industry reports, here’s what the Galaxy S25 FE 5G is expected to offer:

  • Display: 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz refresh rate
  • Processor: Exynos 2400
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Storage: Up to 256GB
  • Camera:
    • 50MP main sensor
    • 12MP ultra-wide lens
    • 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom

What This Means for Users

The Galaxy S25 FE is shaping up to be a lighter, sleeker version of the Fan Edition series, potentially appealing to users who prioritize design and portability. However, the reduced battery capacity could be a sticking point for those who rely on all-day power.

Samsung has not officially announced the device or its specs yet, but with leaks surfacing more frequently, an official reveal could be just around the corner.
