Redmi Note 15 Pro+ to Launch This Month, May Retain Same Chipset as 14 Pro+

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is gearing up to launch the much-anticipated Redmi Note 15 Pro series in China later this month, with a global rollout expected soon after. While the official launch date has not been revealed, Redmi’s General Manager Wang Teng Thomas confirmed the series debut via Weibo.

Same Chipset as Last Year?

According to tipster PaperKing13, the top-end model — Redmi Note 15 Pro+ — will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, the same processor used in last year’s Redmi Note 14 Pro+.

This means users may not see a significant performance boost, even though Qualcomm has already released an upgraded Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. For performance enthusiasts, this could come as a slight letdown.

What to Expect

Despite the unchanged chipset, Redmi is reportedly adding several new features to the Pro+ variant:

  • Satellite communication support – a first for a Redmi smartphone.
  • Improved display and camera setup for better user experience.
  • Enhanced durability, which could mean better build quality and protection standards.

Other models in the Note 15 lineup may bring chipset variety:

  • Redmi Note 15 5G is rumored to feature a different Qualcomm SoC.
  • Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G could run on a MediaTek Dimensity processor.
  • Redmi is also said to be working on 4G variants of the Note 15 and Note 15 Pro.

With the official launch just weeks away, more details about specifications, features, and pricing are expected soon.
