Kriti Sanon made a striking appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, stepping out in an all-black sculpted gown that instantly became the highlight of the Women in Cinema event.

The actor, who is enjoying a successful streak with Crew, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Tere Ishq Mein—each crossing ₹100 crore worldwide—joined global stars such as Dakota Johnson, Nina Dobrev and Uma Thurman at the festival. But it was her dramatic black ensemble that stole the spotlight on the red carpet.

A Statement Look in Toni Maticevski Couture

For the gala, Kriti chose a structured gown designed by Australian couturier Toni Maticevski. The floor-length outfit featured a bold thigh-high slit and sculpted ruffle details, giving the look a blend of elegance and controlled drama.

Her styling stayed true to the gown’s mood—kohl-smudged smoky eyes, a soft nude-pink lip, minimal jewellery and a textured, effortless hairstyle. The combination allowed the gown to remain the focal point while elevating her overall presence.

A Second Look: Soft Glam in Nude Pink

For another festival event in Jeddah, Kriti switched to a contrasting look—a nude-pink dress with a fitted bodice, mesh detailing and floral appliqué work. The dress offered a softer, romantic aesthetic, showcasing her versatility on the international stage.

Reflecting on her recent roles, Kriti spoke about the growing space for layered female characters in cinema.

“Women are also flawed. And they are also being loved as flawed characters, because they’re just as real as humans as men,”
she said during her interaction at the festival.

Kriti wasn’t the only Indian celebrity at the global event. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also graced the red carpet and posed with Dakota Johnson.
