Kingdom Day 4 Box Office: Vijay Deverakonda’s Film Inches Toward Liger’s Total, Crosses ₹40 Crore

Vijay Deverakonda’s latest film, Kingdom, has crossed ₹40 crore at the worldwide box office in its first four days, but is yet to surpass the lifetime earnings of his earlier pan-India release Liger.

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Kingdom released in theatres on Thursday and opened to positive reviews. The film marked a crucial release for Vijay after a string of underwhelming performances at the box office.

Box Office Collection So Far

According to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk:

  • Day 1 (Thursday): ₹18 crore
  • Day 2 (Friday): ₹7.5 crore
  • Day 3 (Saturday): ₹8 crore
  • Day 4 (Sunday): ₹7 crore

The total worldwide collection now stands at ₹40.5 crore after four days. However, Kingdom still trails behind Liger, which collected ₹41.17 crore in its entire theatrical run.

A Sequel Already in the Works

Despite the moderate weekend performance, the film’s producers have announced a sequel. At a recent press conference, producer Naga Vamsi praised the film’s technical standards, saying it matches “Hollywood-level quality.” He confirmed that the sequel will begin production once Vijay completes his current commitments.

About the Film

Kingdom follows the story of Suri, a police constable-turned-spy played by Vijay Deverakonda, who travels to Sri Lanka on a covert mission and to search for his missing brother Siva, portrayed by Satyadev. The film also stars Bhagyashri Borse as Dr. Madhu and Venkitesh as Murugan.

The action-drama ends on a cliffhanger, introducing a new villain and setting the stage for a continuation.
