J&K Police Conduct Raids on Terrorists’ Homes in Kishtwar

Jammu and Kashmir Police have intensified their crackdown on terror networks, carrying out extensive searches in Kishtwar on Saturday. Raids were conducted at 26 locations, including the home of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Mohammad Amin Bhat, also known as “Jehangir Saroori.”

Officials said the operation targeted Pakistan-based terrorists and their alleged associates who are involved in smuggling arms and ammunition from across the border. The searches are part of a wider effort to dismantle the terror ecosystem in the region.

The action comes a day after similar raids in neighbouring Doda district, where security forces searched 15 locations linked to terrorists operating from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). These raids covered areas including Bhaderwah, Gandoh, Thathri, and Kastigarh. Authorities believe the accused are aiding foreign terrorists by providing logistical and other support through local contacts.

In a parallel move, police have also started the process to attach the properties of 36 terrorists from Kishtwar who are currently based in Pakistan or PoK. These individuals were declared “proclaimed offenders” in January last year.
