Pawan Kalyan’s much-anticipated film Hari Hara Veera Mallu opened with a bang, but the momentum has faded just as quickly. Despite a massive opening day, the movie has seen a sharp decline in earnings by its third day.
Box Office Performance So Far
According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the film earned approximately ₹9.25 crore on Saturday, taking its total three-day domestic collection to ₹64.75 crore. While that figure might seem impressive, the breakdown paints a different picture:
- Day 0 (Wednesday previews): ₹12.75 crore
- Day 1 (Thursday): ₹34.75 crore
- Day 2 (Friday): ₹8 crore
- Day 3 (Saturday): ₹9.25 crore (estimated)
Much of the total revenue comes from the first two days, especially the opening day’s strong performance. But the following days showed a steep drop—largely due to underwhelming reviews and weak word of mouth.
Worldwide, the film had reached ₹77 crore by the end of Day 2, but domestic figures suggest a struggle to maintain momentum heading into the weekend.
Plot and Cast
Set against the backdrop of the 17th century, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a historical action drama that follows the story of a fearless rebel who rises up against tyranny. Pawan Kalyan plays the titular character, a warrior who becomes a symbol of resistance during a volatile era.
The film also features Bollywood actor Bobby Deol in a key role. Music is composed by the Oscar-winning MM Keeravani, adding grandeur to the film’s soundtrack.
Written by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, Sai Madhav Burra, and Abhimanyu Srivastava, and directed by Jyothi Krishna, the film is produced by A. Dayakar Rao and presented by AM Rathnam.
A Delicate Time for Pawan Kalyan
Hari Hara Veera Mallu marks Pawan Kalyan’s return to the big screen after taking office as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Expectations were high not just for the film’s cinematic value but also for its symbolic relevance at this new stage of the actor-politician’s career.
Looking Ahead
With Sunday expected to follow a similar trend, the film’s long-term box office prospects remain uncertain. Unless word of mouth improves or the film finds renewed interest in regional markets, Hari Hara Veera Mallu may struggle to sustain its performance in the coming week.
The movie has been released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, offering it a wide reach—but only time will tell if that’s enough to reverse its sliding fortunes.
