Mohun Bagan Super Giant produced a dominant display to defeat Diamond Harbour FC 5–1 on Saturday, sealing their spot in the Durand Cup quarter-finals as Group B winners. Goals from Anirudh Thapa, Jamie MacLaren, Liston Colaco, Sahal Abdul Samad, and Jason Cummings powered the Mariners to a comprehensive win at home.

The home side struck first in the 19th minute when Anirudh Thapa curled a stunning shot into the top corner from the edge of the box. However, Diamond Harbour hit back quickly, with Luka Majcen capitalising on a defensive lapse to equalise in the 23rd minute.
Mohun Bagan regained the lead in the 33rd minute after a poor clearance from the visiting goalkeeper fell to Jamie MacLaren, who made no mistake with a sharp finish. The hosts went into halftime 2–1 up.
Just after the break, Bagan were awarded a penalty when Liston Colaco was fouled inside the box by Naresh Singh Yendrembam, who was shown a straight red card. Colaco calmly converted from the spot to make it 3–1.
The floodgates opened from there. In the 64th minute, Sahal Abdul Samad pounced on a loose ball in the area to slot home the fourth goal. Jason Cummings completed the rout in the 80th minute, finishing off a well-timed pass with precision.

With this emphatic victory, Mohun Bagan have secured their place in the knockout stage as group leaders. Diamond Harbour will now have to depend on other results to progress as one of the best second-placed teams.
