Record-Breaking Advance Sales
According to reports from Sacnilk, Coolie has already made a massive impact in advance sales, particularly in Kerala, where it has grossed around ₹3 crore. With 50,000 tickets being sold per hour, the film is on track to set new records. The film’s advance bookings are also looking strong overseas, with reports estimating ₹30 crore in pre-sales globally. The film is expected to break the previous ₹66 crore overseas opening record set by Vijay’s Leo.
Anticipation Builds for Coolie’s Release
With Rajinikanth leading the cast, along with a star-studded ensemble that includes Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, and Sathyaraj, Coolie is one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year. The film will also feature a special appearance by Aamir Khan.
Produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, Coolie is set to face stiff competition at the box office, with the release coinciding with Ayan Mukerji’s War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. Nevertheless, Rajinikanth’s massive fanbase is expected to drive Coolie to a record-breaking opening.
