Former Astronomer executive Kristen Cabot has filed for divorce from her husband Andrew Cabot, just a month after a viral “Kiss Cam” incident linked her to company CEO Andy Byron. Court filings show the divorce petition was submitted on August 13 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
The Scandal
On July 16, during a Coldplay concert in Boston, stadium cameras caught Byron embracing Cabot as the Kiss Cam spotlighted them. The clip quickly spread across social media, sparking speculation about their relationship. Both resigned from their roles at Astronomer in the aftermath.
Marriage Troubles and Fallout
Reports suggest Kristen and Andrew’s marriage was already under strain before the public scandal. Andrew’s ex-wife Julia Cabot told the Daily Mail that Andrew downplayed the controversy, saying the couple had already decided to separate.
Julia described Andrew — CEO of Privateer Rum and heir to a Boston Brahmin family — as “not husband material,” adding that this would be his third divorce. She also claimed that many viewed the scandal as “karma.”
Public Image vs. Private Struggles
According to sources quoted in the Daily Mail, the Cabots had publicly portrayed a stable marriage as recently as a month before the incident. Just five months earlier, the couple purchased a $2.2 million, four-bedroom New Englander-style home near the Atlantic coast.
The divorce filing marks the latest development in a scandal that has shaken both Astronomer’s leadership and the Cabots’ personal life.
