The Conjuring Universe, one of the most successful and chilling horror franchises, is coming to an end with the release of The Conjuring: Last Rites. Before the final chapter hits theaters on September 5, 2025, horror fans can revisit the entire franchise, which began in 2013 with The Conjuring, and includes two sub-franchises: Annabelle and The Nun. The franchise is based on real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, portrayed by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.

The Conjuring: Last Rites is set to be the final chapter of the main Conjuring storyline. Directed by Michael Chaves, who also helmed The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and The Nun II, the film is inspired by the real-life Smurl haunting, a terrifying paranormal event that took place between 1974 and 1989 in Pennsylvania. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprise their roles as the Warrens, with Mia Tomlinson and Ben Hardy joining the cast.
