The Conjuring: Last Rites is set to be the final chapter of the main Conjuring storyline. Directed by Michael Chaves, who also helmed The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and The Nun II, the film is inspired by the real-life Smurl haunting, a terrifying paranormal event that took place between 1974 and 1989 in Pennsylvania.
