Sonakshi Sinha Slams Brands for Using Her Photos Without Consent

Actor Sonakshi Sinha has called out online brands for allegedly misusing her photographs on their websites without permission or proper rights. Taking to Instagram Stories, the Dahaad star expressed shock at seeing her personal social media images featured on e-commerce platforms without consent.

Sonakshi’s Statement

Sonakshi wrote that while it is common for brands to be credited when celebrities wear their outfits or jewellery in posts, using those same images on official websites crosses a line.
“As someone who shops online often, I could not help but notice my images popping up at several brand websites—without usage rights or even a courtesy request for permission. How is that acceptable?… Basically, what I’m saying is pull down my images before I start calling you out,” she warned.

The actor urged brands to uphold ethical standards and remove her pictures immediately.

Recent Work

On the professional front, Sonakshi was last seen in Nikita Roy, a supernatural drama directed by her brother Kussh S Sinha. The film, made on a budget of ₹20 crore, underperformed at the box office with collections of just ₹1.51 crore.

Earlier, she featured in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar (2024), where her performance as a courtesan drew praise. She is now gearing up to begin work on the sequel to her critically acclaimed series Dahaad (2023).
