Vivo’s upcoming X300 Pro 5G is set to debut with significant camera improvements, especially in its telephoto system. Ahead of the official launch in China, Vivo product manager Han Boxiao revealed new details about the device on Weibo, confirming that the smartphone will feature a 200MP telephoto lens powered by Samsung’s HPB sensor.
Key Camera Highlights
- 200MP Telephoto Sensor: Expected to include a 1/1.4-inch sensor and 85mm focal length for detailed portrait photography.
- Zeiss Optics: The lens will feature Zeiss T* coating, fluorite glass elements, and APO certification to minimize distortion and deliver true-to-life colors.
- Four Pillars of Performance: Stability, speed, clarity, and transparency. Vivo claims these will be achieved through:
- CIPA 5.5-level stabilization for improved low-light and motion capture.
- A co-developed focus tracking engine for long-distance motion photography.
- AI-powered “Blueprint” algorithm for sharper image clarity.
- Enhanced Zeiss optics for accurate color reproduction.
Additional Camera Features
The X300 Pro 5G is also tipped to include a 50MP main camera with Sony’s LYT828 sensor. For processing, the phone is expected to ship with the VS1 pre-processing chip and the V3+ dual-core imaging system, enabling faster and smarter computational photography.
Performance and Launch Timeline
Under the hood, the device is likely to run on MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9500 processor, scheduled to launch next month. This hints that the Vivo X300 series may debut around the same time.
With these upgrades, the X300 Pro 5G is positioning itself as a strong contender in the premium camera-centric smartphone market.
