Actor Shilpa Shetty has paid homage to veteran Bollywood icon Zeenat Aman by recreating her legendary look from the 1971 classic Haré Rama Haré Krishna.
In photos shared on Instagram, Shilpa sported a yellow printed co-ord set, open hair, oversized sunglasses, a rudraksh mala around her neck, and a marigold garland on her wrist — a style that Zeenat Aman immortalised in her role as a free-spirited hippie in the film.
“Paying homage to the epitome of grace, glam and timeless fashion, Zeenat Aman ji… thank you for inspiring us with your style and words even today,” Shilpa captioned the post.
Directed by Dev Anand, Haré Rama Haré Krishna depicted the counterculture of the 1970s. Aman’s role, inspired by Dev Anand’s trip to Kathmandu, went on to become a defining moment in Hindi cinema.
Fitness and upcoming film
Earlier in the day, Shilpa also shared a workout video on Instagram, motivating fans with her high-intensity bench jumps and steps. She encouraged followers to stay active with the caption: “Hop, drop, but never stop… #MondayMotivation #SwasthRahoMastRaho #FitIndia.”
On the work front, Shilpa is set to appear as Satyavati in the Kannada action entertainer KD: The Devil. Directed by Prem and backed by KVN Productions, the film stars Sanjay Dutt, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, and Nora Fatehi alongside Shilpa. The movie is slated for theatrical release on September 4.
