Allu Arjun’s Grandmother Allu Kanakaratnam Passes Away at 94; Pawan Kalyan Pays Late-Night Visit

The Telugu film industry is mourning the loss of Allu Kanakaratnam, mother of veteran producer Allu Aravind and grandmother of actor Allu Arjun, who passed away at the age of 94 due to age-related ailments.

Condolences from Film Fraternity

Several leading stars and filmmakers visited Allu Aravind’s residence in Hyderabad to offer condolences. Among them were megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Naga Chaitanya, and director Trivikram Srinivas. The strong bond between the Allu and Konidela families was evident as members gathered to support each other during the difficult time.

Pawan Kalyan’s Late-Night Visit

Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and actor Pawan Kalyan, who is also Allu Aravind’s younger brother-in-law, could not attend earlier in the day due to political engagements in Vizag. After completing his commitments, he arrived late at night to console the family. Videos of his visit showed him greeting relatives with folded hands and sitting alongside Allu Aravind and Allu Arjun.

Emotional Farewell

Heartfelt moments were captured as Allu Arjun, his son Ayaan, and other family members carried Kanakaratnam’s body on a traditional bamboo bier draped in white cloth. The actor was seen consoling his son during the final rites.

Ram Charan Flies Back

Actor Ram Charan, who was in Mysore shooting for his upcoming film Peddi, immediately flew back to Hyderabad for the rituals. He appeared visibly emotional while paying his last respects. Chiranjeevi also took to social media to express his grief, calling the loss deeply personal for the family.

Allu Kanakaratnam’s passing marks the end of an era for the Allu family, whose contributions to Telugu cinema continue through generations.
