Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s debut film, Saiyaara, has taken the film industry by storm, becoming one of 2025’s highest-grossing films. The musical romantic drama tells the story of Krish, a musician, and Vaani, a poet, whose creative partnership blossoms into love, despite the challenges fate throws their way. The film has received widespread acclaim for its raw emotions and beautiful music, solidifying its place as the second highest-grossing film of the year, just behind Chhaava.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Aneet Padda shared an emotional memory from the final day of filming Saiyaara. She recalled how both she and Ahaan found themselves crying as they wrapped up the shoot. Despite everyone assuring them that they still had promotional events and cover shoots ahead, the reality that an entire year of hard work had come to an end was overwhelming.
Aneet shared, “There’s so much more to do, you guys are going to have cover shoots and things to do after this, you will meet,” but the realization hit that the journey they had shared with the film was over.
Aneet’s Journey From Auditions to Stardom
Aneet also reflected on her journey into the film industry, revealing how she began acting as a dream and a secret pursuit. She recalled recording auditions privately, locking herself in her room and telling her parents she was doing homework. Unable to afford trips to Mumbai for auditions, Aneet knew she had to work hard on her own to make her dreams a reality.
A Tale of Music and Romance
Saiyaara follows the story of Krrish Kapoor, a struggling musician, and Vaani Batra, an aspiring journalist and poet. Krrish uses Vaani’s poems to create his songs, and their working relationship soon turns into a tender love story. However, fate complicates their blossoming romance. The film has been celebrated for its strong emotional depth, stellar performances, and unforgettable music, helping it earn its spot as one of the highest-grossing films of 2025.
