The film, which was released on August 28, has garnered strong reactions from audiences, especially for its production design, attention to detail, and humor, despite a few minor flaws.

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 2.60 crore net across India on its first day. It has enjoyed solid occupancy, particularly during evening and night shows, signaling a positive start for this high-budget spectacle.

A Historic Debut for Mollywood’s First Superheroine

Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra introduces the Malayalam film industry’s first female superhero, and Kalyani Priyadarshan, who leads the film, has earned praise for her commanding screen presence. The film has performed particularly well in Kochi, where it achieved an overall occupancy rate of 61%, peaking at 95% during night shows across 114 screenings. Trivandrum recorded 41.75% occupancy, while Bengaluru and Chennai reported 36% and 27%, respectively.
