Mumbai: The latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show turned into a laugh riot when entrepreneur Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt and Shark Tank India judge, credited actress Archana Puran Singh for his company’s success. The playful exchange soon had Archana demanding her share of “equity.”
Aman Gupta on Using Archana’s Laughter for R&D
During the show, Kapil Sharma teased Aman about launching noise-cancelling headphones after his marriage. Aman responded with a witty twist:
“The real reason behind the company’s expansion is Archana ji. Aapki laughter ko humne R&D factory mein diya hua hai, noise cancellation check karne ke liye. All our headphones are hit!”
Archana quickly shot back, “So where’s my equity now?” sparking laughter across the set. Kapil added to the fun, joking that Aman hadn’t offered equity but had brought along two headphones — one for Archana and one for her husband, Parmeet Sethi.
Aman on Early Struggles
Aman also shared a personal anecdote about how one of his relatives repeatedly dismissed his business ideas, only to change tune and become extremely supportive after boAt became a household name.
Archana on Her Famous Laughter
The episode also highlighted Archana’s own take on her iconic laugh, which has often been used to lift weak punchlines in comedy shows. In a vlog, she admitted that while makers sometimes inserted her laugh to rescue flat jokes, it backfired on her image:
“People started to think, ‘this woman is mad, she is laughing for nothing.’ The integrity of my laughter took the beating.”
