New Delhi, Aug 21 – Actor Shah Rukh Khan and his wife, producer Gauri Khan, joined their son Aryan Khan at the preview launch of The Bads of Bollywood, Aryan’s much-anticipated Netflix directorial debut.
The evening turned into a proud family moment when SRK and Gauri stepped aside on stage, allowing Aryan to take center stage for the first time as a director. The trio posed together before Shah Rukh gently gestured toward Gauri and then moved back with her, giving their son the solo spotlight. Aryan, both writer and director of the project, addressed the media while his parents watched on, visibly proud.
Glimpses from the Preview
The preview opened with Shah Rukh narrating what Bollywood means, drawing a distinction between a “hero” and a “born hero.” The teaser then introduced Lakshya Lalwani as rising star Aasman Singh, alongside Raghav Juyal as his friend. Actor Manish Chaudhry appeared as producer Sodawallah, aiming to create Bollywood’s biggest family drama.
Adding to the star power, Bobby Deol plays superstar Ajay Talvar, while Salman Khan makes a cameo at a glitzy party and Ranveer Singh closes the sequence with his trademark energy.
Bollywood’s Support
Aryan’s debut drew strong reactions across the film fraternity. Actor Sanjay Kapoor congratulated the young filmmaker, while Ananya Panday shared the preview on Instagram with the note: “Wooohooo! If the preview is this fun, you can imagine how fun the show is gonna be! Congratulations Director @aryan.”
Filmmaker Karan Johar also lauded Aryan, calling the project “absolute blockbuster material.” He wrote, “It’s your time to shine… welcome to the movies! I know how much hard work you’ve put in for years.”
Release Date
While the full trailer is yet to drop, Netflix has confirmed that The Bads of Bollywood will premiere on September 18, 2025.
