Five Delhi Schools Receive Bomb Threats, Third Incident in Four Days

New Delhi – Panic gripped parts of the capital on Thursday morning after five schools, including BGS International Public School in Dwarka Sector 5, received bomb threats over e-mail. This marks the third such incident in just four days, following a series of similar hoax threats earlier this week.

Delhi Police and fire department teams rushed to the schools after the alerts, carrying out security checks. No explosives have been found so far.

A Week of Hoax Threats

On Monday, more than 30 schools across Delhi reported receiving bomb threats, all of which turned out to be false alarms. The following day, nearly 50 institutions, including DAV Public School, Faith Academy, Doon Public School, Maxfort School, Sarvodhaya Vidyalaya, Rahul Model School, SKV in Malviya Nagar, and Andhra School in Prasad Nagar, received similar e-mails.

According to police sources, the threats came from a group calling itself “Terrorizers 111”, which also sent Wednesday’s mass e-mails.

Content of the Threat

In the messages, the group claimed to have planted C4 explosives and timed charges inside classrooms, auditoriums, staff rooms, and even school buses. The mail also warned that the attackers had hacked into school IT systems, extracted student and staff data, and compromised security cameras.

The group demanded a $2,000 ransom in cryptocurrency (Ethereum), threatening to detonate the bombs within 48 hours if their conditions were not met.

Police Response

Authorities have so far found no evidence to support the threats, labeling them hoaxes intended to spread fear and disruption. Investigations are ongoing, with cybercrime teams working to trace the origin of the e-mails.

Despite repeated false alarms, officials are treating every threat with seriousness to ensure the safety of students and staff.
