Samsung Introduces Galaxy Tab Active5 in India: Rugged 5G Tablet for Enterprises

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab Active5 Enterprise Edition in India, a rugged 5G-enabled tablet designed for industries that operate in tough environments such as defense, logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, and public safety.

The new tablet comes with military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H) and IP68-rated protection, making it resistant to water, dust, and drops. It features an 8-inch WUXGA display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by an octa-core 5nm processor. Buyers can choose between two variants – 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD.

Built for Demanding Work

The Galaxy Tab Active5 is equipped with a replaceable 5,050mAh battery along with a No-Battery Mode, allowing continuous use when connected to a power source – an important feature for fieldwork, factory setups, and retail kiosks. The device runs on Android 15 and promises seven years of OS updates (up to Android 21). Samsung is also offering an industry-leading 36-month warranty, including 12 months on the battery.
