Mumbai | August 16, 2025 — Superstar Shah Rukh Khan once again showed why he is hailed as the “King of Wit” during his surprise #AskSRK session on Twitter. The actor, recovering from an injury, spent time interacting with fans and answered questions about his career, upcoming film King, and even his health.
The Retirement Question and SRK’s Savage Response
During the session, a fan cheekily asked him:
“Bhai ab umar ho gayi, retirement le lo, dusre bache logo ko aage aane do” (Brother, you’ve grown old, retire now and let younger actors take the stage).
In classic SRK fashion, the actor replied with a sharp comeback:
“Bhai, tere sawaalon ka bachpana jab chala jaaye… phir kuch acchha saa puchna! Tab tak temporary retirement mein reh please.”
(When your childish questions are gone, ask me something meaningful. Till then, you stay in temporary retirement, please.)
The response quickly went viral, with fans hailing it as yet another example of SRK’s unmatched charm and wit.
Update on King and Injury Recovery
SRK also shared updates about his much-awaited action film King, which stars his daughter Suhana Khan alongside him. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, had slowed down after Shah Rukh injured himself during a stunt sequence.
Reassuring fans, he wrote:
“Did some good shoot… starting soon again. Only leg shots, then moving to the upper body… Insha Allah, it will be done fast. @justSidAnand is working hard to finish.”
Aryan Khan’s Directorial Debut
Apart from King, SRK also confirmed that the first look of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut series, Bads of Bollywood, will be unveiled on August 17 at 11 AM**.
Unlike his father and sister Suhana, Aryan has chosen to work behind the camera. The series, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, is set in the quirky and chaotic world of Bollywood aspirants and hustlers. Industry buzz suggests cameo appearances by stars like Bobby Deol, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Karan Johar, and Ranveer Singh.
