Kevin Watson, 42, was shot and killed on Wednesday evening while livestreaming from his car on Facebook in Chicago’s South Austin neighborhood. The incident, which occurred around 6:14 p.m. in the 5000 block of West Madison Street, has drawn widespread attention after the video gained over 2.5 million views online.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, Watson died from gunshot wounds to the chest. Chicago police confirmed that no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

The Moments Captured on Livestream
In the livestream, Watson can be seen sitting in the driver’s seat, speaking about what appears to be a parking dispute. “If they do come, come get me… We’ll move the car so they can get the space,” he says. Moments later, a man approaches the driver’s side window. Watson raises his hands and steps out of the car, followed by the sound of gunshots.

The video then shows people gathering at the scene, with one voice heard telling others not to touch anything because it was now a crime scene. The recording ends shortly after.

Police Appeal for Information
Authorities have not disclosed the motive behind the shooting. Many of the details surrounding the confrontation remain unclear. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in identifying the suspect.

The Chicago Police Department has advised against sharing the video due to its graphic nature.
