Pawan Kalyan’s historical action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which hit theatres on July 24, 2025, is gearing up for its digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Despite high expectations, the film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences and saw only moderate box office success, grossing around ₹101.46 crore domestically (including GST).

OTT Release Timeline May Shift

Initially, reports suggested that Hari Hara Veera Mallu would begin streaming around August 15, 2025. However, according to industry sources cited by Pinkvilla, the release might be pushed back. The reason? The massive buzz surrounding Rajinikanth’s upcoming Tamil action thriller Coolie, which releases in theatres on August 14.

Given Rajinikanth’s star power and the film’s anticipated blockbuster status, streaming platforms may be delaying Pawan Kalyan’s film to avoid clashing with Coolie’s hype. The new tentative window for the OTT debut is expected between August 21 and August 28, though Amazon Prime Video has yet to confirm the exact date.

About Hari Hara Veera Mallu

Set in the Mughal era, the film follows Veera Mallu, a Robin Hood-like outlaw initially working for the King of Kollur. His mission—to steal the legendary Koh-i-Noor diamond from Emperor Aurangzeb—forms the central plot. The movie stars Pawan Kalyan in the lead, with Bobby Deol playing the antagonist. The cast also includes Nidhhi Agerwal, Sathyaraj, and Vikramjeet Virk.

The Coolie Factor

Meanwhile, Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, features Rajinikanth as Deva, a former daily-wage worker with a dark past. The revenge drama involves a high-stakes conspiracy linked to a bio-chemical weapon and boasts an ensemble cast including Nagarjuna Akkineni, Aamir Khan, and Shruti Haasan.

If the release strategy holds, fans of Pawan Kalyan may have to wait just a little longer to stream Hari Hara Veera Mallu on Amazon Prime Video.
