Triumph Motorcycles India has increased the price of its popular Speed 400 roadster, even though the model remains unchanged in terms of design and mechanical features. The updated price tag for the 2025 Speed 400 now stands at ₹2,50,551 (ex-showroom), marking a ₹4,177 hike over its previous pricing of ₹2.46 lakh.
No Mechanical or Visual Changes
Despite the price increase, the Speed 400 continues unchanged in both appearance and hardware. Buyers will still get the same signature design and color options—Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Phantom Black, and Racing Red.
The motorcycle retains features such as adjustable brake and clutch levers, and its overall package remains the same as before.
Engine & Performance Specs
Under the tank, the 2025 Triumph Speed 400 is powered by a 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers:
- 39 hp at 8,000 rpm
- 37 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm
This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and comes equipped with an assist and slipper clutch, offering a smoother riding experience.
The Speed 400 continues to take on rivals like the Harley-Davidson X440, KTM 390 Duke, and other mid-displacement performance bikes in its segment.

The price hike comes just as Triumph launched the new Thruxton 400 in India at ₹2.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Built on the same 400cc platform, the Thruxton 400 gets the same engine as the Speed 400 but is retuned to deliver 42 hp, while torque remains at 37 Nm.
The Thruxton stands out with its café racer styling, featuring a semi-fairing, clip-on handlebars with bar-end mirrors, and a revised rider triangle for a sportier, more aggressive stance.
With this, the Thruxton becomes the fifth model based on Triumph’s 400cc platform, joining the Speed 400, Speed T4, Scrambler 400 X, and Scrambler 400 XC.
