Harley-Davidson has officially announced plans to launch a new entry-level motorcycle under the name Sprint in 2026. This marks a significant move by the iconic American brand to enter the lower-priced motorcycle segment.
A New Chapter for Harley-Davidson
CEO Jochen Zeitz confirmed the development during a recent investor meeting, revealing that the Sprint model has been in the works since 2021. While full specifications are yet to be revealed, the motorcycle is expected to carry a more accessible price tag—under $6,000—making it one of Harley-Davidson’s most affordable offerings globally.
Designed for a New Audience
Zeitz noted that the Sprint will still embody Harley’s heritage and rugged charm, but will cater to younger, first-time buyers. The company is targeting markets it hasn’t traditionally competed in, while still aiming to maintain strong profit margins with this model.
Though Harley-Davidson hasn’t set a date for the unveiling, the Sprint is likely to be showcased at major international events like EICMA 2025.
More Bikes on the Horizon
Alongside the Sprint, Harley-Davidson is reportedly working on another unnamed model as part of its evolving product strategy. The move signals the brand’s intention to diversify its offerings beyond its traditional heavyweight cruiser segment.
Current Lineup in India
In India, Harley-Davidson currently offers 14 motorcycles, including the X440, its most affordable model to date, priced at ₹2.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming Sprint could bring Harley’s badge to an even broader customer base both in India and internationally.
